Kalahari Press Annual Literary Competition
Kalahari Press will be hosting two literary competitions a year, one on prose writing (fiction or nonfiction) and the other on poetry. The prize-winning and follow-up entries will be published in two anthologies the following year.
In line with contemporary audio-visual culture, and a need to broaden the appeal of poetry and writing, Kalahari Press will have the prize-winning and follow-up entries performed on video and shared with the broader public.
We seek for original entries that are original, imaginative, thoughtful, and impactful. Works that blend literary imagination and critical aspects of everyday life in the Global South and in immigrant communities in the countries of the North. Topics or issues in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Health/Medicine, and the living Environment will be highly welcome.
There is no entry fee or reading fee for submissions.
