About us
Kalahari Press is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting emerging writers, artists, and multimedia creators from the Global South.
Our mission is to foster contemporary literature, art, and multimedia that reflects a rich diversity of voices and perspectives.
We strive to create a vibrant, inclusive platform where creative talent from the Global South can flourish in a highly competitive market place.
We specialize in publishing a wide range of materials including educational resources, storybooks, children’s literature, fiction, nonfiction, indie content, and self-help books.
In addition to our literary and educational work, we are expanding into multimedia digital productions to ensure that quality content is accessible at low cost to community libraries, schools, and readers across the Global South.
Our focus includes giving exposure to quality literature, art, and media directed at children from minority backgrounds, with the goal of inspiring many to effectively read, write, and engage with artistic, multimedia, and scientific projects.
At Kalahari Press, we believe that powerful works of art, literature, or science should nourish and inspire the reader’s spirit and imagination, enhance lives, and enrich global humanity.
We also believe that such works deserve meticulous editing, compelling design, and innovative promotion.
To bypass traditional publishing constraints, we establish close, collaborative relationships with our writers and readers. By utilizing proceeds from our publications, we support our authors and ensure their works reach enthusiastic readers.
